 Interview with Keith Hempton

Keith has been a man of many parts. While training as a singer he also taught  modern languages at Sydney Grammar School for three years. Time in England furthering his studies and singing with Glyndebourne Opera as well as giving a number of recitals led to his becoming principal bass at the State Opera South Australia, and roles in a number of operas with Australian Opera, Queensland Lyric Opera and the Western Australian Opera Company.

From 1995 to 2010 he was Head of Vocal Studies and Co-ordinator of the Performance Honours Program at the Elder Conservatorium, Adelaide University

Now retired he gives lectures on opera, adjudicates eisteddfods, teaches French at the U3A and presents programs on 5mbs.
