Jamie Cock has organised three chamber music concerts at St Oswalds Church, Parkside, each featuring Adelaide’s finest musicians. He talks about the musicians and the themes for each concert: 30 August, 27 September and 25 October. All at 2.00pm and with wine and cheese afterwards when you can meet the musicians.
The first concert, Something Old, Something New, features Justin Julian, viola Jamie Cock pianist, playing music by Britten, Shostakovich and Caroline Shaw.

Matthew Quick, is a very successful Australian artist who was born inn Adelaide. His latest exhibition at ILA Gallery, titled Deaf in One Eye, is both thought provoking and satirical. Added to the paintings there is immersive animation, devised by Troy Bellchambers from Monkeystack, showing a selection of Matthew’s work from earlier exhibitions.
Sarah Bleby, as Head of Creative at ILA talk about the role of the gallery and how this exhibition is of particular significance.

Catherine Carby, mezzo soprano, is singing the roles of Mother and Witch in Hansel and Gretel by Humperdinck. This production by State Opera opens at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 21 August until 29 August. The director is Constantine Costi and the ASO is conducted by Dane Lam.
Originally from Australia, Catherine is now a very successful international singer, who has also recorded. She is enjoying this production with the State Opera Company.
