Kaleidoscope is an Arts Magazine. This program is one of the ways that 5mbs links our station to the wider music community as well as looking further afield, from time to time, at local drama, art and literature. It is an important link to the wider listening audience as we talk with some very interesting people about what interests them most.

The Benaud Trio is the first in our local hero series. Lachlan Benaud, Ewen Benaud and Amir Farid formed the Benaud Trio in Melbourne twenty years ago. Since that time the trio has performed in Australia and internationally, recorded their music, commissioned a number of new works, and won praise for their contribution to the world of music.
