Kaleidoscope is an Arts Magazine. This program is one of the ways that 5mbs links our station to the wider music community as well as looking further afie24ld, from time to time, at local drama, art and literature. It is an important link to the wider listening audience as we talk with some very interesting people about what interests them most.

LOCAL HERO SERIES
During May we are featuring some of our distinguished musicians, heroes and heroines.
This week’s hero is Nicholas Braithwaite.
He has had a very successful career as an international conductor.
Between 1987 and 1991 he was Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s Chief Conductor.
In recognition of his career and his continued association with the ASO he has been appointed their Honorary Conductor Laureate.
Nicholas Braithwaite continues to encourage musicians, and advocates for support and opportunities especially for those beginning their careers.
