Kaleidoscope Arts Magazine

Kaleidoscope is one of the ways that 5mbs links our station to the wider music community as well as looking further afield, from time to time, at local drama, art and literature. It is an important link to the wider listening audience as I talk with some very interesting people about what involves  them most. You can hear it on Wednesday 6.pm or Saturday 11am. VOICES OF ADELAIDE

Jonathan Bligh, Artistic Director of Festival Statesmen Chorus, is organising a festival which will bring together SA’S finest to explore Choral Excellence. He will be joined by Carl Crossin and Christie Anderson to set up the SA Honour Choir, together with an A Cappella Workshop Day a concert with Blindside and Festival Statesmen Chorus and a Conductor’s Professional Development Day.

ILLUMINATE ADELAIDE

Rachael Azzopardi, and Lee Cumberlidge, Co-Producers and Creative Directors of Illuminate Adelaide talk about how they came to the idea of setting up this event each winter in Adelaide and some of the amazing things on show at the moment. It is on until 20 July.

CATRIONA BARR

Catriona Barr is one of the singers taking part in a double bill of Menotti operas – The Old Maid and the Thief and The Telephone, being performed at the State Opera Studios, Netley, from 18-20 July. Two very enjoyable and accessible operas featuring excellent singers and directed by Nicholas Cannon
