Kaleidoscope is one of the ways by which 5mbs links our station to the wider music community as well as looking further afield, from time to time, at local drama, art and literature. It is an important link to the wider listening audience as I talk with some very interesting people about what involves them most.

JACK SYMONDS is the composer and conductor of the award winning opera Gilgamesh.
He talks about the process from first ideas to full production. Gilgamesh is an innovative and fascinating approach to opera today.

CARL CROSSIN OAM is a conductor and composer, who has served the Adelaide music community for many years. Now in his ‘retirement’ he is composing more music, planning and running music courses and encouraging young singers.
