Kaleidoscope is one of the ways by which 5mbs links our station to the wider music community. As well it looks further afield, from time to time, at local drama, art and literature. It is an important link to the wider listening audience as I talk with some very interesting people about what involves them most.

Jane Downer, baroque oboist as well as an expert on baroque music is giving a Obbligato Project

There are also two concerts at the North Adelaide Baroque Hall 8 November and 29th November., where you can hear music by Bach and Couperin.
Rodula Gaitanou and takis are are respectively Director and Designer for the State Opera’s production of Roméo et Juliette by Gounod, opening on 23 October at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Both are based in London and they have worked on a large number of productions for opera and theatre in UK, Europe and USA. Thus they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this project.
Siobhan Stagg is singing the role of Juliette. An Australian soprano, now based in Berlin, she has established a very successful career on the operatic stage. This is the first time she has sung this role, and she talks about her preparation, and her admiration for Juliette, a determined and courageous young woman.
