OLIVIA JANE PARKER is directing The Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare, with some modifications and music by local musician including Macey Lawson. The members of the Guild cover all areas of the production from acting, lighting, music, backstage and stage management, so it is a real team effort.

NEIL ARMFIELD is a noted director of theatre, opera and film. At present he is in Adelaide to direct the State Opera South Australia’s performance of Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Cinderella). This production is a world premier with a an amazing cast of singers. It opens at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 7 May, with Anna Dowsley singing Angelina (Cinderella) and Teddy Tahu Rhodes as Don Magnifico, her nasty step father. Tickets at Ticketek.

JAMES HUON GEORGE is is giving a piano recital at the North Adelaide Baroque Hall on 23 May at 1.00pm. Music includes works by Tchaikovsky, Webern, Lii Boulanger and Jankowski. Book tickets through Trybooking.
