Kaleidoscope is an Arts magazine program which brings the creative and theatrical world to 5mbs listeners, through interviews and music. Together with Arts Diary it is our link to local events and personalities.

Till the Stars come Down by Beth Steel  will open Holden Street Theatres 2026 season. It is directed by Nick Fagan. Martha Lott is in the studio to talk about this play which has won numerous awards in the UK. It is about family tensions around a wedding – and we know that can be very fractious.

Karl Geiger is conducting both the Graduate singers and the Elder Conservatorium Chorale in a concert entitled Wildsong. The music reflects works by composers, such as Gibbons and Vaughan Williams, who were inspired by nature, especially birds.

The final  number, Earthsong by Ticheli,is a plea to protect the earth that we have.
