Kaleidoscope Arts Magazine

Kaleidoscope is an Arts Magazine program designed to bring the music, drama and literature  in the Adelaide community, and from wider afield, to 5mbs listeners.  It is presented by Emily Sutherland. and can be heard each Wednesday at 6.00pm with a repeat on Saturday 11.00am.or listen to the podcast.

We cover a trip to the regions for Adelaide chamber musicians, the glories of the music of Dresden as performed by Adelaide Baroque and sung by Sally-Anne Russell, and news of the rejuvenated Flinders University Music now with the support of Recitals Australia

Adelaide Musicians off to Port Augusta

Janet Carey Director of CMA talks about an upcoming event in Port Augusta featuring Adelaide and local musicians. The program sounds very exciting and hopefully the first of many trips to the regions. The performances are on the 12 and 13 August, followed by a big race meeting on the Sunday.


Sally-Ann Russell

Noted mezzo soprano Sally-Anne Russell will be part of the Jewel of the City: Music of Dresden presented by Adelaide Baroque at Elder Hall on Sunday 7 August at 3.00pm. Before the concert here is a talk by Dr Jan Stockigt, who was responsible for discovering some of the music at 2.00pm, and she has much of interest to tell you.


Suneetha Carter and Emma Horwood

Writer and Musician, Gillian Dooley, is also one of the organisers of Flinders Music. Their first concert after a break of some months, is on  Monday 15 August 2.30pm in the Oasis Centre, Flinders University, is French Beauty Presented by harpist and soprano, Emma Horwood together with harpist Suneetha Carter.

There will be concerts every Monday 2.30pm until 31 October.
