The 2027 ASO program includes the Symphony Series, Music for Young People, a Matinee Season at Elder Hall and music from films. Something for everybody.

Of particular interest is the Enigma Variations by Elgar  (April Symphony) which are based on Elgar’s friends. Each variation will be introduced by an actor talking about the relevant associations. There is also a recognition of an important anniversary of Beethoven during the year..

Hollis Taylor fell in love with the music of the Butcher Birds in Central Australia. This led to a detailed study of Bird Song and has resulted in compositions which unite the calls of the birds with musical instruments. Her composition, Bird on Byrd, will be part of the Musica Viva Concert on the 12 November, Adelaide Town Hall, at 7.30pm  The concert includes the Latvian Choir and Genevieve Lacey
