James Roser sings the role of Giorgio Germont, the stern father who ruins the dreams of the lovers Violetta and Alfredo in the opera La Traviata by Verdi. Hear them in the next production by State Opera opening on 25 August. He joins Lauren Fagan and King Wang in what promises to be a terrific production at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Lovers of Baroque music and those who wish to learn about the art improvisation will be interested to hear organist Josh van Konkelenberg talk about his next concert Fantasy and Fugue on Sunday 28 August 3.00pm at North Adelaide Baptist Church, 156 Tynte Street, North Adelaide.
