The first concert for this year is called First but no means Last, and features the first Piano Trio by three different composers, Schoenfeld, Mendelssohn and Brahms. Kathy tells of how she came to love chamber music through her first hearing Mendelssohn’s Piano trio No 1 in D minor.

Her friends in this concert are Alexandra Osborne, violin and Clancy Newman, cello.

Just for this first concert the venue is Flinders Street Baptist Church, as Elder Hall is closed for renovations.  On Sunday 26  March, 2.15pm  and tickets  can be bought through the website  selbyandfriends.com.au  or at the door on the day.

He is a noted local organist, but for the first Kent Town concert the musician will be Martin Setchell, originally from England, now living in Christchurch New Zealand.  Graham brought along some of the music which Martin will be playing in the concert on Sunday 26 March at 2.15pm Tickets are $20 which you can purchase at the door, but please bring cash.
