This week we have produced a very friendly Kaleidoscope, with an added Regal touch. Musicke for Several Friends, Selby and Friends and Handel’s Coronation Anthems, are presented, all guaranteed to warm the heart.
Gillian Dooley is one of the Several Friends who get together to play renaissance and baroque music. Some composers may be your old friends, but you may be delighted to meet some others for the first time. Aldis Sils is the musical director of the Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus, musicians who are bringing a royal touch to Elder Hall with a resounding performance of Handel’s Coronation Choruses, plus some others, not written for coronations.You can’t really have enough Handel!
