After spending a number of years in Zimbabwe, teaching music and learning about the music their country, Billy James St John now has returned to Adelaide and is establishing a system for teaching students in schools about the music of Zimbabwe. Oliver Fartach-Naini and Lee Song-Ou have been playing music together, in concerts and recordings since 1991. There is a rare chance to hear them live at Kay Brother’s Winery McLaren Vale on 3 December, 12.00pm and have a degustation lunch as well if  you choose.

Welcome to Your New Life is currently playing at the Space Theatre Festival Centre, until 25 November.  I have seen the play (check my review on 5mbs.com/reviews and also had the chance to talk with Anna Goldsworthy about her play. It’s well worth going to see.
