Jane Downer went to the UK after finishing her music studies in Adelaide. She specialises in baroque oboe, and now has a flourishing career in England. From time to time she comes back to Adelaide and you can hear her at the North Adelaide Baroque Hall on April 27 at !.00pm and May 18 at 1.00pm and then 30 May at 7.00pm. Valerie Volk is a well known author who spoke to Kaleidoscope about her latest book, Finding Emma.

It is based very loosely on her own family history and combines romance, and an exploration of early colonial history. Published by Wakefield Press, it is in bookshops or you can order directly from valerievolk.com.au

Benji Riggs is a young man with loads of creative drive. He has founded The Flying Elephant Company and their latest production, in partnership with Limelight Theatrics, is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. It’s an important play and one well worth going to see at Goodwood Theatre, on until 13 Apriland you can book at trybooking.com
