About John Ingham OAM – Vale

It is with great sadness that Radio 5mbs announces the passing of John Ingham. John was a key part of our station for many years, as Program Production Manager and in many other technical roles. He was always available to help, and always keen to make our station great. John will be very much missed.
John was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in January 2025, for services to broadcast media. This was a very well-deserved award.
John had a long career in TV studio production in Australia and Canada, including for ABC TV and TAFE SA. He joined 5mbs in 2003 upon retirement.
John did a LOT of editing of programs, managed the on-air and back-end computers, trained fledgling editors and a whole lot more besides.
