Keith Hempton talks two the first two guests in this week’s Kaleidoscope.

First, he asks Carl Crossin about his musical pathway and then homes in on the next concert to be given by the Elder Conservatorium Chorale with cellist Jack Overall. It’s the poignant work The Sacred Veil by Eric Whitacker and will be at the Elder Hall on September 1st.

Robert Nairn then tells us about what’s in store for Adelaide Baroque over the next few months, focussing on the concert inspired by Michael Meehan’s book: An Ungrateful Instrument. The concert will include readings from the book, visual projections to set the scene and a selection of French Baroque music played by members of Adelaide Baroque with some guest artists including viol player Laura Vaughan. It’s on in the Ballroom of the Burnside Town Hall complex on Sat 20th July at 7:30 and Sunday 21st at 3:00.
