Conversations through Time. Pianist James Huon George and flautist Madeleine Stewart will be playing music by Copland and Widor at St.John’s Anglican Church, Halifax Street on 14 April at 2.30pm. A chance to hear some very pleasant music played.
Hugh Morris is Director of the Royal School of Church Music in the UK, an organisation with which a number of churches here are affiliated.. He talks about the work of his organisation and his impression of the music performances in New Zealand and Australia. rscm.org.uk
In St John’s Church, Halifax Street you can hear music for Passiontide including some choruses from Messiah presented by Corinthian Singers. Steve Donovan talks about their program, and gives a call out for new singers.

Keith Crellin brought news of AdYO’s upcoming performant of Gustav Holst’s Planets Suite. The Aurora Singers will be joining them for the last movement, as well as singing in the first half of the concert. Elder Hall March 23, 3-5pm Tickets through Humanitix
