Adelaide Concert Band Chamber Music Works by Bach Telemann and Vivaldi
A group of dedicated musicians including Jane Downer, oboist extraordinaire and Jessica Dean, soprano, present a chamber concert on Sunday September 25, 3pm at St John’s Anglican Church Halifax Street. Andrew Georg and Jane Downer speak of some of the highlights.
Truc Truong is an OzAsia Festival designer, creating spectacular installations around Festival Centre, based on the legend ‘The Cowherd and the Weaver’. Truc worked with one thousand Adelaide students in workshops, exploring and extending the concept of a bridge which links disparate groups in our community. Spring will blossom at the Capri Theatre on 18 September at 2pm when John Atwell plays music on the theatre organ. John has performed internationally and made records, and is an old favourite at the Capri. As part of the concert he plans to honour three women, Judith Durham, Olivia Newton John and the late Queen Elizabeth.
