SMALL ISLAND BIG SONG is the result of three years travel across the Pacific and indian Oceans by Bao Bao Chen, creative producer and Tim Cole, music producer/film maker, to record and share songs from island to island. It’s a collaborative project and tyou can hear the results at WOMAdelaide.
The product of nine artists with works as diverse as art quilts. collage felting, weaving, basketry, leatherwork and mixed media will be on display at galleryone.org.au 1 Torrens Street Mitcham from 3 February to 4 March.

ALIAN SONGS PROJECT
Jessie Lloyd is the driving force behind this project, which is an exploration of historical songs from the Torres Straits. She is a singer and social historian with a wealth of stories along with the music. Jessie Lloyd explores the folk tunes of her people in the Torres Strait with a contemporary reimagining.
