Kaleidoscope Arts Magazine

Kaleidoscope is an Arts Magazine program designed to bring the music, drama and literature in the Adelaide community, and from wider afield, to listeners.  It is produced and presented by Emily Sutherland and can be heard each Wednesday at 6.00pm with a repeat on Saturday 11.00am. or Listen on Demand to Kaleidoscope by accessing 5mbs.com

The Capri Theatre Organ is turning Forty and Fabulous and is having a weekend party. 

Julian Cochran, the man behind North Adelaide Baroque Hall will tell why he built it and details of recitals in March.

Jack Stacy is the star of Jesus, Jane, Mother & Me , a play written and directed by his father, Philip Stokes. Richard Jordan, who is the producer of the show, arrived from England the day before the interview, and came along to provide any extra details we might require. This is Jack’s first professional role, and he is winning as much praise and stars here in Adelaide as he did in the Edinburgh Fringe 2022. Until March 19.

There’s a weekend of concerts from Friday 31 March to  Sunday 2 April, featuring music by various artists and theatre organists, plus a film, and as a bonus, June 4 Chris McPhee with Peter Goers, all to celebrate the Capri Theatre Organ.

Eva drowning her sorrow inmustard

Eva O’Connor, Irish writer and actor is also from the Edinburgh Fringe, and brings her play Mustard to Holden Street Theatres. It’s about heartbreak, madness and condiments. Lots of humour despite the serious subject, as Eva tells us. Until 19 March at Holden Street Theatre.

Julian Cochran has provided Adelaide with a beautiful Baroque Hall for musicians, both from here and overseas to give recitals.

North Adelaide Baroque Hall

The first recital is on 9 March 1.00pm featuring  Serbian musician Ljiljana Vukelja  playing Ravel and Chopin, and on 18 March Gil Sullivan, Greg Tuske and Carolyn Crowley will present Mozart lieder and Brahms.
