Two remarkable and talented women speak to Kaleidoscope this week. Christie Anderson the Musical Director of the Adelaide Chamber Singers and Anne Cawrse, who is a highly successful composer are my guests.

Behold the Wonder is the title of the next concert by the Adelaide Chamber Singers. The focus ison the music and life of Hildegard von Bingen, who lived in the 12th century, and whose music is love as much today as it was in her time.

Christie Anderson, who conducts the Adelaide Chamber Singers, talks of her fascination with this remarkable women and her admiration for her music. 

There are three concerts in Adelaide  (and one in Tasmania at MOFO if you can get there).

Anne Cawrse

The next Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Series 4 Embrace will feature a world premiere of a Marimba Concerto composed by Anne Cawrse and played by Claire Edwards. 

Anne talks about how she planned the concerto’s three movements and the inspiration she drew from poetry, art and music. A chance to learn more about the intricacies of composing a major work.

The concert is at the AdelaideTown Hall , Friday7 July 7.30pm and Saturday 8 July 6.30pm
