Kaleidoscope Arts Magazine

Welcome to the last week of regular Kaleidscope before we morph into Summer Mode.

You can hear from Helen Trepa, Guy Noble and Steve Donovan all talking about Christmas events although the second  two are more Christmasy than the first.

Barry Hunphries

Helen Trepa is  the Adelaide Festival Centre Performing Arts Collection Coordinator and she talks about two current exhibitions,. One features the paintings by Barry Humphries and the other is a selection of the Commemorative Art Works, collected over the last forty-five years.

Both exhibitions will be there until 13 April 2024, but viewing during the week has specific  times, so best to check before going there. During events they are also on show.

Guy Noble is the conductor/presenter of Christmas Unwrapped which will be at Festival Theatre on  15 and 16 December 7.30 and features lots of Christmasy music including the The Snowman by Howard Blake which is the main feature.

Guy is joined by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, soprano Desiree Frahn, Graduate Singers and the Elder Conservative Chorale. Lots of chances to sing along as well.

Waiting, Wonder, Welcome is the title of the Corinthian Singers final concert for the year. Christmas music, both well known and unusual is on the program, and again, a chance to join in the traditional carols.
