As a youngster I was heavily drawn to the music of Status Quo and T Rex, particularly their boogie based songs. This led me to exploring the music the likes of Hound Dog Taylor, J B Hutto, Jimmy Reed and Elmore James, which in turn led to the rest of the blues world. It was not long before I discovered the world class nature of Adelaide’s local blues scene and soon became an avid follower of many local blues bands. It was through a friend in the blues scene here in Adelaide (Sister T) that the opportunity to host a blues show on 5MBS was gladly received. This has been a wonderful experience.
