I retired recently from medical practice as an Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck specialist giving me an insight into medical problems associated with musical performance, especially voice.

I’ve been a member and presenter at 5mbs for most of the last decade, specialising in presenting classical music programs ranging throughout all genres in that field, although Chamber music is probably my first love.

I’ve been a lover of classical music probably ever since listening, when I was about 16, to a recording of pianist Alfred Cortot playing Schumann’s Carnaval!

I played classical guitar for many decades, but an arthritic finger has now put a cruel end to that activity.

Regular attendance at ASO and Musica Viva concerts, plus occasional musical soirees at friends’ houses keeps me reasonably current.

Working at the Station is a joy.
