Jude Owens-Fleetwood (violin)
Jude is a promising young violinist in Year 12 at Concordia College, whose musical journey began at the age of two. Over the years, he has developed into an accomplished musician, having completed all 12 Suzuki graduation levels and earned both his AMEB Associate and Licentiate Diplomas. Jude is studying under the guidance of Cameron Hill, Associate Concertmaster of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
Jude is currently the concertmaster of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra (AdYO), and his leadership extends to his position as first violinist in their quartet. This year, he was honoured to perform as the concerto soloist in AdYO’s performance of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.
Jude’s achievements are reflected in a number of awards and scholarships, including the Jane Peters Violin Medallion, the Jean Adelaide Madeline Dent Prize, the Metropolitan Male Choir Instrumental Scholarship, and a SACE Merit in Ensemble Performance. He has also enjoyed success at the Adelaide Eisteddfods, including first place in the concerto and string solo categories. Additionally, Jude has received several prizes at the ASME Young Composers Awards, highlighting his versatility as a musician.
Looking ahead, Jude is excited to continue his musical education at the tertiary level, where he plans to deepen his studies in classical performance.

Phillip Yufu Cheng (born 2014) is a young treble singer with a passion for sharing his beautiful voice through performance. He began formal singing lessons at the age of six with teacher Elsa Tian. At seven, he became the youngest new member of the St Peter’s Cathedral Choir. Since then, Phillip has performed regularly as both a soloist and chorister.
His achievements include First Prize in the 2022 Charleston International 17th Century Music Competition and multiple top prizes in the Adelaide Eisteddfod Vocal Division (2024–2025). In 2025, he also received the prestigious Grace Barbara Turner Award for Excellence in Performance from the Music Teachers’ Association of South Australia.
Phillip has performed widely, including as soloist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in Christmas Unwrapped (2023), and with State Opera South Australia as First Spirit in The Magic Flute (2025). Dedicated and committed, Phillip continues to inspire audiences with his artistry and love of music.

Gianna Guttilla (soprano)
Adelaide soprano Gianna Guttilla is a Master of Music Studies graduate in Performance Voice at Griffith University and previous graduate of a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice + Honours from the Elder Conservatorium.
She has performed the roles of Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi, Co-Opera) Eurydice (Underworld, QCGU), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel, Voxalis Opera) and Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica, QCGU). Gianna is also the recipient of the 2023 Doreen Ord and Lyceum Club Prize and the 2024 Elizabeth Muir and Linda Edith Allen Postgraduate prizes. She has also worked within the Adelaide Festival Chorus in Christian Spuck’s 2023 production of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem and Robert LePage’s 2024 production of Stravinsky’s The Nightingale and other Fables, as well as a 2024 artist in the Lisa Gasteen National Opera Program.
Since her return to Adelaide, Gianna has performed the role of Juniper in The Frog Prince (2025 school tour – State Opera South Australia) and won the prestigious Dawn Wallace Award at the 2025 Adelaide Eisteddfod. Additionally, Gianna has been an active member with the State Opera South Australia Chorus, having performed in their 2025 production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and will also be performing in their production of Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette.

Jenny Su (piano)
Adelaide based pianist, Jenny Su is a first-class Honours graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music. During her undergraduate studies she was the recipient of numerous scholarships and prizes including the David Galliver, Maude Harriet Riley, Patrick Cecil Greenland, Daisy Burmeister Salotti, and Jack De Vos Scholarships. In 2025 she was awarded the University Medal in recognition of outstanding academic excellence.
Jenny has participated in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed pianists, Angela Hewitt, Paavali Jumppanen, Stephen Kovacevich, Phillip Moll, and Paloma Kouider. Her performance highlights include appearances at the Art of Possible Festival and PianoLab, as well as collaborations with violinist, Helen Ayres and violist, Stephen King for the Accompanist Guild of South Australia’s Ruby Festival. She also performed at the Elder Hall Lunch Hour Top-Class Concert, where she was awarded the Peter Brooker Prize for Musical Excellence.
In 2023, Jenny was thrilled to be chosen to represent South Australia at the Australian Showcase for the Sydney International Piano Competition.
Jenny is a three-time recipient of the Wilf Mader Memorial Medallion and has won the Senior division of the Adelaide Eisteddfod for three consecutive years—2023, 2024, and 2025. She has twice been a national finalist in the Young Virtuoso Competition.
Jenny is currently pursuing a Master of Music at the Elder Conservatorium, where she studies with Lucinda Collins.

Akane Mears (flute)
Akane Mears is a Year 12 Special Interest Music student and Music Captain of Marryatville High School. She currently studies the flute with Dr Julia Grenfell and has previously learnt under Karen Fletcher and Alison Rosser OAM.
Akane has achieved her AMEB Associate Diploma of Music in Flute and won the South Australian Flute Society’s Robert Brown Memorial Competition in 2024. At the 2025 Adelaide Eisteddfods, Akane was awarded first prize in the Sonata, French Composition and Wind & Brass Recital sections.
She has been the principal flute of the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Young Symphonists program in 2023 and the Adelaide Youth Orchestra since 2024. As a member of the Imber Trio, she was selected to represent South Australia in the 2025 national final of Musica Viva’s Strike A Chord competition.
In 2025, Akane also performed Borne’s Carmen Fantasy with orchestra for the Male Choirs Association of Australia’s Gala Concert, and Chaminade’s Concertino for Flute for Marryatville High School’s Town Hall concert.

Yili Liu (piano)
Yili Liu is a Year 12 student at Immanuel College. He started his music journey from the ISM music school at the age of 5. Since then, piano has been part of his everyday life. Yili is currently studying piano with Rosanne Hammer. Yili participated in the 2021 and 2025 Adelaide Eisteddfod and achieved great results.
Yili is an active member of Immanuel’s music society. He plays piano and clarinet in school bands and ensembles. Yili is currently studying Music Studies and Solo Performance as his SACE Stage 2 subjects. Besides music, Yili is also passionate in a variety of different fields including the computer science and programming domain. He will continue his next stage of life at the University of Adelaide.

Royce Wong (flute)
Royce started the flute beginning at 6 years old. He has achieved AMusA in flute, Certificate of Performance in Piano and recently began playing the pipe organ. He has had the privilege to be under the tutelage of Karen Fletcher, Elizabeth Koch and currently Kathryn Moorhead.
Royce has been a winner of the Carolyn White, Robert Brown Memorial Scholarship and recently the David Cubbin Flute Medallion.
Royce has been part of Adelaide Youth Orchestra ensembles, concert band captain at Immanuel college, performed in his school’s valedictory and was awarded full colours by Immanuel College

Natasha Paran (violin)
Natasha Paran is a Year 10 Music Scholar at Pembroke School. Upon commencing studies with Dr Elizabeth Layton in 2020, she has made solo appearances with Recitals Australia, North Adelaide Baroque Hall, and the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. Natasha was awarded the Adele Anthony Violin Medallion in 2022 and the Jane Peters Violin Medallion in 2024 from the Adelaide Eisteddfod. She was a finalist of the 5MBS Young Virtuoso Award of South Australia in 2024.
In 2025, Natasha led the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Young Symphonists program as concertmaster, played alongside violinist Aiko Goto in the ACO Academy, received the Jewel Stevens Scholarship from the University of Adelaide and was awarded the Australian Strings Association Award from the Adelaide Eisteddfod. She also performed as a soloist with the Unley Symphony Orchestra and the Metropolitan Male Choir of South Australia.
